Training Weekend with Mark Marx
We are pleased to announce that Mark Marx will be in Bath to run a HOTS Training Course on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th April.
HOTS was started by Mark Marx of Causeway Vineyard Church in Coleraine, Northern Ireland, and he has helped establish HOTS teams all over the UK and in other parts of the world. Over two days, Friday 26th (evening) and Saturday 27th April, Mark will be running a HOTS training course in Bath. The cost is £40 per person for the 1½ day course. Anyone who would like to join is most welcome. The only pre-qualification is that you have given your life to Jesus and have been baptized with His Holy Spirit.
We know that many Christians pray for healing for others in their Churches and in their homes. The purpose of the course is to offer training for praying for people you know nothing about and doing so publically, out on the streets.
If you would like to come on the training course then please contact us via our training request form.
If you would like to join the HOTS Bath team then please contact us via our join the team form. Most team members come out for 2 sessions per month, some just once, others more often – no rules!
Under New Management
Some changes have taken place between HOTS Bath closing for the winter in November 2018 and reopening in the spring of 2019.
Firstly, Bronwyn & Steve Oborne have handed over the leadership of HOTS Bath to Dorian Baker. So, a big THANK YOU to Bronwyn & Steve for leading HOTS Bath for the last 3 years. And may God’s blessing be on Dorian as he takes HOTS Bath through its next season.
In conjunction with the above changes, on 1st March 2019 the registered charity Healing On The Streets Bath (Charity Registration Number 113098) has been closed and removed from the Charity Commission’s Central Register of Charities. HOTS Bath has joined the International HOTS network which operates under the auspices of HOTS Coleraine in Northern Ireland.
Despite these changes, this year’s HOTS Bath team will be made up of the same people who have served faithfully in the past. However, we do hope to add to our number as the year progresses.
2019 Season Starts
We will be starting our 2019 ‘season’ on Tuesday 2nd April. Details of the dates we are out on the square can be found on our Where/When page.
2018 Season Ends
Our last HOTS session before Christmas in the Bath Abbey Square will take place on Thursday 8th November from 11:00am to 1:00pm.
Dates for 2019 will be published when known.
New Leadership
In 2009 Paul Skelton had the vision of moving the Churches out on the streets in Bath to demonstrate God’s love and healing. As a pioneer, Paul not only established the Healing On The Streets (HOTS) team that meets in Bath Abbey Square each week, to invite members of the public to receive prayer for supernatural healing, but also trained, equipped and fathered teams locally, nationally and internationally. Subsequently, over these years there have been countless healings, spiritual encounters and salvations on the streets, through HOTS and their mission trips.
During 2015, Paul was sensing in the Spirit that he has faithfully run the race of guiding the HOTS Bath team that was set before him and has now completed the task, like Barnabas and Paul did in Acts 12.25, “When Barnabas and Saul had finished their mission, they returned from Jerusalem.” Paul is currently on sabbatical and when this ends in January, he will move on and focus on other areas of ministry the Lord is calling him to.
The HOTS Bath Trustees fully support Paul in his decision and release him with thanks and blessings for the next part of his journey. Having prayed this through over a long period of time, the HOTS Bath Trust has unanimously agreed that HOTS Bath will continue to provide the local service that has been established, continuing to draw teams from churches in the city and surrounding area.
However, it will no longer focus on developing other national or international teams, and will therefore not seek to replace Paul in the position he held. Further information will be given in the near future regarding management of HOTS teams in Bath for 2016.
Both Paul and the HOTS Bath Trust are grateful to all those who have contributed to the vision to date, and look forward to seeing more fruit for the Kingdom, as led by the Holy Spirit.
